The Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management (TPM), at Delft University of Technology, strives to significantly contribute to sustainable solutions for social problems in which technology plays an important role, through internationally oriented education and research. TPM opens new perspectives by achieving a unique co-operative relationship between the arts/social sciences and the exact sciences/technology. Recent events have shown that a one-sided approach to the above-mentioned problems leads to insufficient results.
The mission of the Section Economics of Infrastructures at TPM is to make a substantial contribution to the design of efficient and effective governance structures for infrastructure industries (like telco, energy, water, transport and logistics) at the interface of economics and technology. Therefore the Section takes a multidisciplinary approach: its mission is pursued in close co-operation with allied research groups in the social and engineering sciences and with professionals in the industry. The Section aims to be an international point of reference in its scientific field. One of the partners of UCPartners is a senior research fellow at TPM Economics of Infrastructures and researches and lectures in the field of energy market developments.
