The Next Generation Infrastructures (NGI) Foundation represents a large international consortium of knowledge institutions, market players and governmental bodies, joining forces to solve the huge problems in today's infrastructure sectors. The common goal of all participants is to improve vital infrastructures, including the way they are operated and managed. Scientists of different disciplines have joined forces with parties involved in the industry to develop and test theories, models and tools to ensure that the infrastructures of the future will function at their full potential. In the NGI program PhD research is carried out in the area of underground infrastructures in which UCP is participating.
