I was a co-founder of UCPartners in 2005, set up to further explore the potential of the energy value chain and support clients in dealing with rapidly changing energy markets. As an energy market specialist, I combine many years of consulting experience with detailed, hands-on knowledge of the utility business and related IT topics.
Before joining UCPartners, I was a member of the international Energy & Utilities organisation of the Capgemini Group, managing projects and providing expert advice on a wide range of industry issues. My primary areas of expertise are business and information architecture, retail market design, customer management, energy data management and smart operations. I master these areas from strategy to technology and from design to implementation. Consequently I have frequently published my views as one of the authors of the ‘Trends in Energy’ research series as well as publications in various other related periodicals on the subject of energy markets. Amongst many others, I have provided support to the following organisations in the form of consultancy: B’con, Electrabel, Endesa, Eneco, Energie:direct, EnergieNed, E.On, Essent, ExxonMobil, Gaz de France, Luminus, Nuon and Shell. Prior professional experience includes management of wholesale trading companies as an independent entrepreneur and account management roles with a public global security services company.
Clients and colleagues value me as an enthusiastic and results-driven partner, comfortable in the boardroom as well as in operational settings. I am a true believer in dialogue and open business and technology standards and have joined a select group of certified enterprise architects affiliated with The Open Group’s Architecture Forum.
