Rogier Savelsberg | Consultant
Recently I completed the bachelor Science, Business and Innovation at the VU University. Within this multi disciplinary study I worked on both science (including mathematics, physics and chemistry) and economic issues. These two disciplines are brought together with a focus on innovations in life science and sustainable energy. This is where my interest in the energy market started. Throughout the study I have done many group assignments where we acted as consultants advising on energy related topics.
During the program I did my internship at General Fusion, a company based in Vancouver, Canada. There I conducted the research and wrote my thesis on how the European energy market is structured in regards to fusion energy.
Following my interest in the energy sector, I attended the International Student Energy Summit. Here I participated in the challenge for consulting FortisBC on an energy issue. In addition, I also took part in a contest where I, together with a group, had to design a self-supplying, autarkic houseboat.
I am motivated, driven, eager to learn and a real team player. In the evening and weekends I am an active cycler, rowing coach and tennis player.
