I started my career in IT during my education as teacher mathematics and chemistry, where I gained my first experience in computer programming. From there on I joined Oracle where I became responsible for the project development team and moved to the position of project manager.

I have project management experience in various industries: Retail, HR and Payroll, Logistics, Energy. Some of the organisations I have worked are: Neddloyd (Royal P&O Nedlloyd), Ecabo, Ahold, LOI, Organon,TenneT.

In the last 8 years I gained a lot of experience in the web world in projects around web-site improvement, intranets and e-commerce sites. In these assignments a worked both as project manager and as a business consultant in projects across Europe and the US.

Based upon all this experience it was my deliberate decision to enter the utilities world and join UCPartners. That’s where we are all facing huge challenges going forward.

Over the past years I became more and more interested in the alignment between IT and business and how complex the communication between those two can be. My main interest is in doing the right thing for the business. That’s exactly the way I approach IT: always from a business perspective, pragmatic and focused on results that add direct business value. In my spare time you can find me under water, teaching diving as an open water scuba instructor.
