After graduating as a Mechanical Engineer I started my professional career at Asea Brown Boveri. Later, while working for Capgemini, I graduated as an Economist on the topic of Strategy, Management and Organization. Subject of my Master thesis was “Strategy and Sustainability in the Energy and Utility market”.
At Asea Brown Boveri I designed environmental static filtering installations for power plants. After Asea I joined Olivetti (workflow management) and started my career in the IT industry. Next I was part of a start-up spin-off of Baan Company focusing on Business Modeling for ERP software.
After Baan I joined Capgemini and focused on Energy and Utilities as a member of the international Energy and Utilities advisory group. Clients I worked with during this period were APX, Delta, Electrabel, Eneco, E.on, EPZ, Nuon. Part of my work involved consulting on strategy, energy retail and sustainability issues. Next to that I was part of the team of researchers and authors responsible for the yearly “Trends in Energy” publication and seminar, as well as the annual European market survey on the liberalisation of electricity and gas markets.
During the next phase in my career I was responsible as Managing Director for the successful start-up of Sapient in The Netherlands with clients like Essent, Nuon, Electrabel, TomTom and LOI.
By joining UCPartners I refocused again on the Energy and Utilities market with prime attention on organizational growth and management of UCPartners’ business.
